Older Peoples & Senior MSK Physiotherapist
BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, MCSP, HCPC-Registered
Hello I’m Miles and I be joined the Physiotherapy Matters team in September 2018. My ethos around Physiotherapy is to work with the patient to give them a good understanding of their presentation at initial assessment, plan a route to recovery with them and then help them consistently achieve goals as part of this plan to improve their symptoms, health and wellbeing. I have a personal and clinical interest in persons with persistent problems and enjoy working with them to improve function and return to activities which they once enjoyed and give them an improved quality of life. I am passionate about the role of activity and exercise in injury recovery, prevention and maintenance of health.
I have been working as a Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist in Northumbria Healthcare for the last 6 years after completing my junior rotations. I graduated from the University of Northumbria in 2010 and worked my way up in the NHS gaining Acupuncture accreditation on the way. I gained a wealth of experience in Northumbria’s dedicated rehabilitation unit helping patients return to work or sports after operation or injury to Shoulders, Knees and Ankles. I am looking forward to a new challenge within Physiotherapy Matters continuing to help people through specific exercises and where indicated hands on Manual Therapy or Acupuncture to help people get back to where they want to be.
