Helen graduated with a BHSc (hons) degree in Physiotherapy from York St John University in 2010. Since then she has worked predominantly in the private industry providing high quality care and rehabilitation to a wide range of patients, from the management of high level athletes through to falls prevention in older people.
Helen has worked in a variety of roles, including Clinical Governance , Management and pitch-side, but her passion lies within her role as a clinician; she is motivated by working alongside patients, providing evidence-based rehabilitation, advice and hands-on treatment to enable them to achieve their goals.
Helen is also a qualified Pilates instructor and offers both 1:1 and group Pilates, promoting self-care and independent management.
She has recently relocated and returned back to the North-East after 8 years working in London, joining the Physiotherapy Matters team in September 2018.
Helen has always had a keen interest in sports and fitness; so when she’s not at work you’ll find her hiking, running, cycling or travelling around in her campervan.
