Whiplash

If you are suffering from whiplash then a specialist whiplash physiotherapy treatment plan will give you advice on how and when to rest, guidance for movement and what to avoid, plus relaxation techniques and other tips to aid recovery.

What is Whiplash?

Whiplash is the common term for the acceleration-deceleration forces on the neck which may occur in a motor vehicle collision or other incidents such as a fall or sporting injury. Because whiplash is unexpected, you don’t have time to prepare for the force of the impact and it is this sudden motion that causes injuries.

These forces may result in painful injuries to the muscles, ligaments and joints of the neck and other spinal areas. It may result in no pain or injury at all.
