Our MSK and Orthopaedic NHS and Independent Hospital Physiotherapy Services<\/h2>\n

Physiotherapy Matters offer a range of Musculoskeletal and Orthopaedic services to Primary Care Networks, Integrated Care Boards, and Independent Healthcare Providers \/ Hospitals delivering NHS services. These services are based in the community and are aimed at offering care closer to home whilst optimising recovery from a range of musculoskeletal disorders. Our services are evidence-based and delivered by experienced Physiotherapists who are highly trained and supported.<\/p>\n

For several years Physiotherapy Matters have provided services throughout the Northeast including Community MSK Physiotherapy and FCP within GP practices, pre and post operative Orthopaedic Physiotherapy services to independent hospitals carrying our NHS surgical procedures, and primary care educational training on topics including MSK injection update courses and management of MSK conditions in primary care. \u00a0Our services are delivered by experienced Physiotherapists who ensure that services deliver value\u00a0for money whilst maintaining high standards of care.<\/p>\n

We offer the following services:<\/h4>\n

First Contact Physiotherapy<\/h4>\n

Physiotherapy Matters have delivered First Contact Physiotherapist Practitioner (FCP) services across the Northeast since 2020, including remote and face-to-face consultations. FCPs are qualified autonomous clinical practitioners who can assess, diagnose, treat and discharge a person without a medical referral. They have developed advanced competencies to be able to request and interpret appropriate investigations, offer soft tissue and joint injections and write fitness for work reports. The implementation of these roles is a key feature of the NHS Long Term Plan<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Community MSK Physiotherapy Services<\/h4>\n

Physiotherapy Matters have a long history of providing Musculoskeletal NHS Community Services<\/a> within the Northeast. Our face-to-face services include evidence-based treatments, and our practice is audited against current guidelines relating to Musculoskeletal disorders. Clinicians are supported and supervised at regular intervals to ensure our high standards are maintained. Patients are encouraged to take a central role in their own recovery, and we place great emphasis on our role in increasing general wellbeing through increasing activity levels and promoting healthy lifestyle changes.<\/p>\n

Pre and Post-Surgical Rehabilitation<\/h4>\n

Physiotherapy Matters have been delivering pre and post Orthopaedic rehabilitation services to independent healthcare providers who carryout NHS surgical procedures.\u00a0 This has included pre-operative physiotherapy, immediate post op mobilisation of patients for discharge, through to post shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand, to knee, foot and ankle surgical rehabilitation.<\/p>\n

MSK Education Workshops<\/h4>\n

Physiotherapy Matters offer bespoke training to meet the demands of patients presenting with Musculoskeletal disorders in Primary Care. These sessions are pitched at a level to enable first contact clinicians (GPs and Nurse Practitioners) to safely assess and manage patients in short appointment times.<\/p>\n

The sessions are flexible in duration and time of training, delivered within practices for convenance and ease of access. Physiotherapy Matters also deliver MSK injection update courses for those practitioners offering this service to keep up to date with latest guidelines and appropriateness of offering joint and soft tissue Corticosteroid Injections in Primary Care.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
