Conditions

At Physiotherapy Matters we treat a wide range of conditions that may affect older adults. This can range from musculoskeletal problems like arthritis, back pain, joint pain and muscular injury, through to falls prevention, improving mobility or support for the management of long-term conditions. We also provide post-operative physiotherapy for rehabilitation following surgical procedures including joint replacements, to get you back to your daily activities as soon as possible after your discharge from hospital.

In order to provide effective care, we offer a wide range of Physiotherapy-led interventions to be able to support you and meet your individual needs. These might include:

  • Individual assessment and treatment in our private clinics
  • Group exercises classes focussing on strength and balance
  • One-to-one personal training sessions in our gym
  • Home visit physiotherapy
  • Care Home or Residential Home physiotherapy
  • Falls prevention support, advice and rehabilitation (this could be at your home, in your care home or in our clinic)

It is important as we get older that we remain active to prevent falls and maintain our independence and quality of life. The Older People Team at Physiotherapy Matters are passionate about supporting people in achieving this so will tailor your physiotherapy and work closely with you to achieve your goals in the most appropriate way for you.
