Following several sessions, the treatment has been totally successful! From being in constant pain and being unable to do anything, my headaches have stopped and my mobility is back to about 100%. I am now back at work full time and back to badminton and Pilates.

Denise

Very helpful! – I was diagnosed quickly and professionally. The diagnoses was explained to me and I was given exercises to perform. Beforehand the pain was slowing me down and making life difficult but the treatment has reduced the pain and I’m undertaking tasks daily and feeling much better.

I went to PML after being referred through work. Over the weeks the physio has worked wonders for my back. He listened and took time to understand the underlying problems and reasons for my back pain and has worked some kind of magic! I have suffered on and off for years with pain and in 8wks I am a new person, long may it last.

I have suffered from knee instability issues for almost two years, namely anterior knee pain, patellofemoral pain and patellae tendinitis. Since coming to the Physiotherapy Matters clinic my symptoms have improved and I hope that I will continue to improve as my sessions progress.

Caroline

Nursing home advised physio would help with my health as well as exercise classes. I had poor mobility and very swollen legs which have now completely gone due to the physiotherapy I have received. I couldn’t walk well and was in a large amount of pain all the time. My walking has improved, I now walk with my son without using my walker and just link his arm out and about in town. My family has noticed a big change and are very happy with the progress.

I enjoyed learning a new form of exercise/ movement and my golf swing has improved tremendously. I’ve really felt the benefit. My Physio took into account my injuries and disabilities which was great.

I suffer from severe arthritis in both knees and have ostenil injections to ease the pain. I visit Physiotherapy Matters annually for Ostenil injections and have done since 2012. The injections give me relief from almost constant pain and give me much greater mobility. I thoroughly recommend.

I was suffering with pain down my right arm for over a year before I arrived at Physiotherapy Matters. I suspected I’d torn my rotator cuff, but after three sessions with My physio correctly diagnosed referred nerve pain originating from my back. After three sessions I am now free of pain.
To anyone who is suffering with muscular or nerve pain: get yourself along for a consultation as soon as possible. Don’t waste time and money on lesser skilled masseurs.

Chris

Thank you so much for seeing me recently, I felt great after the session, my muscles were not tight anymore and lots of (miles) happened after that. I went to Switzerland with Dave that weekend, I had a bib for a marathon (where I run my very first marathon 9 years ago), I was feeling great so I decided to start and see how I was doing. I didn’t carb-load, stretch or do other stuff you are supposed to do, I just took it easy. My aim was to run smart miles, and not hit the wall. No ambitions on time. It happened that I followed the 4:00 pacer, and I didn’t look at the watch at all, just put a foot after the other. I felt he was going quite slow, but I didn’t want to overdo it, so I stayed with this group. To cut a (26.2 miles) story short, I crossed the line in 3:59 and I couldn’t believe it! And the day after I didn’t feel any DOMS or other ache on my legs! Remember when I was desperate to run a sub 4:00 marathon? I just had to relax, have a stress fracture (!), and learn the hard way! Thank you for all your help this year.

I had a car accident and went to Physiotherapy Matters to help with my injuries. My physio was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, excellent in treating me and now I feel as good as new. Everyone is so polite and helpful, their management system is great, emailing you when you have booked a session with all the details. You are given exercises to do at home which is also emailed to you in case you forget the instructions, just everything about them shouts professional and thorough. Plus they are all thoroughly nice people. I’m actually a bit sad they are so good as I don’t need to go back anymore and I enjoyed my treatment. I highly recommend and will certainly be back the next time I need physio.

After a road traffic accident my insurance company referred me to Physiotherapy Matters, I was offered acupuncture I must admit I really didn’t think it would work but I have found such a difference. All members of staff are great and very friendly. A nice clean place to visit with good parking. I would recommend it to anyone.

Tracy

I would like to thank all the staff for their time and work. Every visit was a boost to my confidence in starting to walk unaided again and getting back to my basic daily tasks.

Working with the PML team at Ponteland MG is a pleasure. The physios are always available for advice and informal discussion about referrals. We enjoy an ongoing dialogue to make sure we’re doing the best we can together to meet the needs of our patients. Feedback that I have had from patients is very positive about their experiences.

Dr Matt Thomas

I know I can refer to Physiotherapy Matters with confidence. Our patients are seen and assessed by a team with impressive expertise and experience and treated with empathy and clinical skill. The physio team achieve excellent results and are also very quick to feed back to GP colleagues if they feel further action needs to be taken. My experience has been of consistently excellent partnership working.

Before receiving physio at my care home I couldn’t walk well and was in a lot of pain. My family has noticed a big change and are very happy with the progress.

Doreen Walker

I am back on my feet, at one time I thought I was in a wheelchair forever. I was very worried that I would not be independent, but the improvement has been so good that I feel it is now possible.

Anne Morris

The treatment I have received has benefitted me greatly. I am more mobile and stronger due to these sessions.

We have used the services of Physiotherapy Matters since 1st January 2009, as part of our integrated occupational health programme.
Their service enables us to take a proactive approach to the management of employees suffering from musculoskeletal problems. This includes their Practitioners giving advice to employees working in high-risk areas, in order to prevent injury wherever possible. Furthermore, they also facilitate early treatment of problems that have occurred, including those arising from incidents outside of the workplace.

Keith Faley, Head of Safety & HR, Newcastle International Airport Ltd

Virgin Money have worked with Physiotherapy Matters Ltd since August 2012. Physiotherapy Matters provide an on-site physiotherapy service to us, and also provide us with a referral service into their network of approved physiotherapists nationwide where it would not be suitable for us to bring colleagues to our Newcastle offices for treatment. In addition Physiotherapy Matters also provide us with wellbeing support services such as walk-arounds, colleague talks and classes in our on-site gym.

Joe Elliot, Health and Safety Manager, Property and Facilities Management

Physiotherapy Matters have provided an excellent service to North Tyneside Council for the last two years. The service has given value for money, and its cost-effectiveness is easy to show given the low costs of the Physio sessions balanced against the high cost of absence.

As a result of a successful pilot project to assess the benefits of regular physiotherapy sessions for care home residents and staff, Hadrian Healthcare Group is to continue the programme and extend it throughout the group. Everyone who took part was clearly seen to benefit physically and psychologically over the three months of the pilot project. We had no hesitation in extending the programme across all our homes to help enhance the quality of life our residents enjoy.

I wasn’t sure what to expect so wasn’t sure if it would be for me but really enjoyed it. It’s also a bit of a stress release! The instructor was great. He was very friendly, put you at ease straight away and made sure you were in the correct position etc. He was was really engaging and got everyone motivated.

My Dad has made so much progress with you and he is feeling very upbeat now. We are all delighted as we had been so worried about him.

I booked an appointment with you on 27th November, I have no issues now and I do hope I keep this way till then but I have a run in mind and I like to be checked out before I take the plunge… well, Dave is going away on business early December, and it happens that there is a marathon that week where he goes, so I decided to empty my savings and go with him. And as I am convinced that the physiotherapy last month helped me a lot to finish my 15th marathon one year after having diagnosed with the stress fracture, I have booked a session with you to make sure my muscles are ok and to release any tension. Did I tell you that the marathon will be at 30 degree Celsius and 85% humidity? I won’t need to warm up, I suppose.
Have a good week and see you at the end of November.

Helen Wilson has been treating me since June 2019 whilst I have been a resident in the Manor House, Gosforth. She has made a great difference to my mobility and progress. She encourages you to achieve goals of which you did not think you were capable.
Apart from being an excellent physio she has great social skills and all my fellow residents also find her services excellent.
We shall never see her like again.
