Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Update

Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Update Monday 23rd March 2020

As the COVID-19 outbreak continues to spread throughout the communities where we live and work, in order to continue to help protect the health and safety of our Physiotherapy Matters team, clients, and patients, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close our clinics for any face to face appointments from today, Monday 23rd March 2020.

As with many other businesses, we have been working hard on alternative options to ensure that our clients continue to receive the best quality service possible in these unprecedented times. Here are some of our current operating practices and other services launched in response to the coronavirus outbreak.

Remote Physiotherapy Consultations. We are now able to offer remote physiotherapy consultations in the form of video (skype) or telephone consultation in most circumstances (some insurance companies are still not allowing this so please discuss your individual case with reception staff). All clinical staff are experienced in remote consultations and have access to electronic exercise program software so that exercise programs can be emailed or posted to you.

Remote DSE Assessments. Our DSE consultations via skype will provide not only a thorough assessment, but also advice on DSE use, set up and appropriate, affordable, equipment solutions.

Extended End Date for Massage Vouchers. We have extended the end date on massage vouchers to 12 months so they can be bought for those in isolation and used after isolation orders have been lifted by the Secretary of State.

FREE Isolation Self-Care Guide. This has been produced specifically for older persons who face a potentially lengthy period of isolation. The guide includes handy tips for general wellbeing, as well as a daily exercise program. Feel free to download as many copies of these guides as you would like and distribute them throughout your community.

While we aim to keep the website updated as much as possible, the situation is changing on an almost hourly basis, and so for instant updates, please follow our social media pages.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us on 0333 2200 238 and we will answer your queries as best as possible.

No matter whether your condition was caused by a sport, work accident or otherwise, we welcome the chance to serve you.
