Remote Work Place Assessments for Home Workers By Video and Telephone

With the rise of the dreaded C word we’re seeing a large number of employees sent home from work in a bid to try and slow the spread of disease. While working in your PJs with a limitless supply of tea and coffee might sound appealing, most of us aren’t used to working on the sofa for extended periods and aren’t aware of how to make simple adjustments to ease the associated postural risks.

Using laptops regularly can place increased strain on the body which can develop into aches and pains, affecting our concentration and reducing our productivity. All of which can impact our physical and mental wellbeing. At Physiotherapy Matters we’re offering remote work place assessments by telephone and video for employees working from home in order to talk through their current workstation set up and provide practical solutions to minimise risk even before symptoms develop.

Assessments include:

  • Discussion of any existing aches and pains
  • Advice on seating, desk, screen, keyboard, mouse and paperwork
  • Advice on environmental factors such as lighting, available space and temperature
  • A tailored short exercise programme, sent electronically, to break up sustained positions

Assessments are £40 per employee and include a brief summary report which can be sent to the employee and employer. Discounted rates for referrals of 6 or more employees also apply.

Face to face remote DSE assessments are also available for employees where preferred at a starting cost of £150.
