Home Visit’s

The risk of falls increases as we get older and so fall prevention should be a consideration in the later stages of life. Where most falls do not commonly lead to serious harm and injury, others may lead to hospital admission. A third of adults over the age of 80 years will have a fall at least once a year. As well as physical injuries, falls can reduce individual confidence and independence. With this in mind, it is important to keep active and regularly exercise but it is also vital to know what increases your risk of falls and how to prevent them.

Are you aware that we provide home visit appointments as part of our physiotherapy services for older people or those with mobility issues?

This means that one of our qualified physiotherapists can come to your home and provide the same quality of care that you would receive in our clinic. We understand that it can be difficult for some people to leave their homes, and we want to make sure that everyone has access to the care they need. Plus, you can have the added comfort and convenience of receiving treatment in your own home. If you or someone you know could benefit from our home visit physiotherapy services, please don’t hesitate to contact us to schedule an appointment.

Staff Meeting and Christmas night out!

We Wrapped up the Year with Fun-filled Team Activities
Our team got together for one last meeting of the year and tried Kristi’s Pilates class – it was an absolute blast!

The team activities were a great way to end the year and brought everyone closer together. Kristi’s Pilates class was not only fun, but it also helped us to relax and de-stress after a busy year. We learned some new moves and enjoyed the challenge of working out together as a team.

The staff night out at St. James’ Park was the perfect way to celebrate our successes and unwind after a long year. We hope you had a lovely Christmas break !

As we say goodbye to 2023, we reflect on all that we have achieved as a team and look forward to the opportunities and challenges that 2024 will bring. We wish everyone a happy and healthy new year and look forward to seeing you in 2024.

Exercise of the Month!

Single arm shoulder press

To perform the single arm shoulder press:

  • Stand with your feet shoulder width apart and hold a dumbbell or kettlebell in one hand.
  • Lift the weight to your head so it is in line with your ear.
  • Place your opposite arm out to the side to maintain good balance.
  • Extend the elbow and press the weight up towards the sky, then slowly control the weight back to the starting position.

Repeat this for the desired repetitions on the left and the right shoulder

No matter whether your condition was caused by a sport, work accident or otherwise, we welcome the chance to serve you.
